Last week, the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) approved incentives for three companies to expand to Southern Nevada and add over 225 jobs in the region over the next five years.
The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA), one of the eight Regional Development Authorities (RDA) in Nevada, provided support and guidance to the companies throughout the approval process.
“These companies offer high-quality jobs in industries that are helping diversify the region’s economy, and we look forward to working with our regional economic development partners to continue recruiting new and diverse companies,” said Tina Quigley, LVGEA President & CEO.
These three companies are:
ENTEK Manufacturing — 73 jobs, $29.89 average wage, General & Advanced Manufacturing
ENTEK, a designer and producer of battery separators for lead-acid and lithium batteries, is opening a new 98,000 square-foot facility in Henderson.
Beauty Society — 90 jobs, $23.67 average wage, Transportation & Logistics Technologies
Beauty Society is a producer, distributor, and wholesaler of cosmetic and anti-aging skin products. The California-based company plans to establish new office space, and a logistics and distribution center in North Las Vegas.
Airgas Safety, Inc. — 66 jobs, $23.39 average wage, General & Advanced Manufacturing
Airgas Safety, an Air Liquide company, is a single-source supplier of gases, welding equipment and supplies, and safety products. The company is opening a 220,000 square foot west region distribution facility in Henderson to serve the company’s customers in the west and northwest regions of the US.
“We are working hard to bring companies to Nevada that are creating good jobs,” said Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak, Chairman of the GOED Board of Directors. “Since January of 2019, the 80 companies that have received abatements will create 11,727 jobs over five years. These companies are making $2.1 billion in capital investments and will generate $1.1 billion in new net tax revenues over the next decade.”
