City of Henderson Opens Nominations for Water Conservation Award

Henderson, NV - The City of Henderson is now accepting public nominations for the Water Conservation Award, which honors Henderson residents and businesses that make significant contributions to water conservation within the community.

Categories for award consideration include the following:

  • Water-efficient landscape redesign
  • Renewable water policies and practices
  • Environmental stewardship
  • Community outreach programs
  • Water loss reduction
  • Employee education
  • Water savings contributions
  • Process optimization 

All nominees must have an active utility account with the City of Henderson and all projects must have been completed within Henderson. Nominations are open from Nov. 1 – 30, and the winner will be announced in January 2024. 

The Water Conservation Award celebrates the successes the Henderson community has made in saving Southern Nevada’s most precious natural resource. Every resident and business can make a difference in water conservation, which is a priority to continue to make Henderson a healthy, livable, sustainable city.

In 2023, Anthem Country Club was recognized for their turf conversion efforts, which saves 59,533,620 gallons of water per year.
