The City of Henderson is opening a Request For Qualifications (RFQ) period through February 5, 2024 by 5pm to select a developer to develop the former Fiesta site through a public-private partnership.
Last September, the City of Henderson hosted two public open houses to gather community input and collected more than 5,600 responses through an online survey.
Resident feedback shows the following preferences for the site:
- Tournament sports facility and family-oriented entertainment as a primary use
- Family-fun and arts and culture as supporting uses
- A strong desire for return on investment given the publicly funded nature of the site
- Diverse array of public spaces, and a wide variety of options to support this site as a “destination”
