MESQUITE, NEVADA — Eureka Casino Resort properties in Mesquite, Nevada, and Seabrook, New Hampshire joined forces to raise funds for the American Red Cross’ fire relief efforts in Maui, Hawaii, donating $30,000 in total by the two properties.
Eureka Casino Resort in Mesquite hosted an Aloha buffet, featuring an authentic spread of Hawaiian fare, including grilled salmon, poached ahi, and teriyaki shrimp skewers. Every guest pledged $25 and Eureka Casino Resort provided a 100% match of each donation, raising just over $20,000.
Meanwhile, at The Brook in New Hampshire, employees donned aloha shirts, setting the stage for a free concert featuring Hawaiian recording artist and musician, Fia. The Brook provided a 100% match for each donation that was made and also pledged an additional $100 for every attendee, collecting approximately $10,000.
"The recent fires in Maui have had a devastating impact, and our core values guide us to contribute to these essential efforts and provide relief and assistance,” said Eureka Casino Resort CEO Andre Carrier. “Again and again we have watched our communities come together in times of need and we’re deeply grateful to our guests and employee owners who embraced this cause with open hearts."
"The role of our 100% employee-owned company is often to be a conduit to bring attention to essential needs and then provide innovative ways for people to share their time, talent and treasure. This effort for the people of Maui highlights the strong desire and capability of our community to make a difference," Carrier added.
