Touchstone Living’s new Independence Planned Community is under construction on E. Vegas Valley Drive near Hollywood Blvd, the site of the former Royal Links Golf Course. The first 100 homes are permitted and under construction. The developer is planning to build a total of 1,600 homes eventually on this site. The homes will start in the $200s and are targeted at first time home buyers. Floor plans range from 2 to 4 bedrooms single family attached homes.

Three Tax-Abated Companies to Create 200 Jobs in Las Vegas Region

Last week, Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) approved five companies to receive tax incentive. The five companies will make a capital investment of $22.2 million in the first two years and generate $34.5 million in net new state tax revenues over the next 10 years. Three out of the five companies are in Southern Nevada and plan to create 206 jobs in the greater Las Vegas region over the next two years.

Nevada To Receive $33 Million for Desert Terminal Lakes Restoration

Yesterday, U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and Jacky Rosen (D-NV) announced that Nevada will receive nearly $33 million in grant funding to restore and protect Pyramid, Summit, and Walker Lakes through the extended Desert Terminal Lakes Restoration program.
