Plaza Hotel Unveils New Venues and Smoke Free Slot Room
Plaza Hotel & Casino hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the new main entrance makeover and the opening of Pinkbox Doughnuts, Carousel Bar, Oscar’s rooftop patio, and Brian Christopher Slots at Plaza, downtown’s first smoke-free, social media friendly gaming space. All venues will officially open to the public on June 10.
New Medical Office Building Opens Near Summerlin
A 72,000-square-foot Class A medical office building opened on Alta Drive and S Hualapai Way in City of Las Vegas Ward 2. The Summerlin-adjacent building features a 4-operating room surgery center, a cardiac catheterization lab, and 10 post-surgery recovery suites. This is the first outpatient facility on the west side of the valley to offer a cardiac catheterization lab and post-surgery recovery suites and is located one mile away from the Summerlin Hospital.
Mobile Gaming Company Purchases New HQ in Las Vegas
Skillz, a skilled-based mobile gaming company, announced the purchased of a new office building in Las Vegas. The 36,045-square foot property was originally designed and owned by world-renowned photographer Peter Lik, who sold upwards of $700 million of artwork to his collectors according to his personal website. The building has an open floor plan featuring a loft style interior, providing a work space for creative, innovative culture.
First Cannabis-Inclusive Hotel Opens in Las Vegas
The Lexi Hotel Las Vegas, the only cannabis-inclusive property in town, opened this week. Located adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip, the five-story boutique hotel has 64 newly designed rooms and suites with RestorAir filtration system equipped with Advanced Oxidation Cell in every room.
1 October Memorial Design Team Exhibit Opens at Clark County Government Center
An exhibit featuring five design concepts for a permanent memorial to remember those who perished in the events of 1 October 2017 opened this week in the Clark County Government Center.
The public is invited to visit the exhibition in-person from Monday through Thursday, 7:30am to 5:30pm daily. The public can also learn more details about each concept online at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov/1OctoberMemorial. The names of the participating teams are: Aaron Neubert Architects+studioSTIGSGAARD, JCJ Architecture, OLIN, Paul Murdoch Architects and SWA Group.
