Las Vegas, NV - Brandy Goodson returned from the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 with a silver medal in the 200m run. She also placed 6th in the 100m and 6th in the 4x100m relay race.
Goodson was one of the 201 members representing the United States at the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023. Before taking off to Berlin for the competition, Special Olympics Nevada hosted a send off event for her at Earl Wooster High School in Reno.
Goodson has participated in Special Olympics for 15 years in athletics, bocce and bowling. Through Special Olympics, Goodson has learned the importance of advocacy as an athlete and is a certified Global Messenger. One of her accomplishments includes competing in the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games in New Jersey.
