Nevada State Bank recently hired Maria Bernal as AVP, branch manager for the Maryland Parkway branch, 3345 S. Maryland Parkway.
Bernal has 11 years of banking experience, having started her career as a teller at a bank in Ecuador. She has held multiple branch-level positions, including merchant teller, personal banker, and branch manager at a large, national U.S. bank before coming to NSB. In her new role, Bernal’s focus is to deliver a high level of client service while developing her colleagues and helping them find their career path.
“Maria is an excellent banker, and I’m confident our clients are in good hands with her at the helm of the Maryland Parkway branch,” said Craig Kirkland, executive vice president and retail baking director at Nevada State Bank. “Her journey to branch manager allows her to see situations from many different angles, and I’m excited to see her succeed at Nevada State Bank.”
Bernal has lived in Las Vegas for eight years, and she is focused on causes related to Alzheimer’s disease. She looks forward to working with clients and colleagues, and helping clients find meaningful ways to manage their finances.
