Nevada to Receive $416 Million to Expand Broadband Access
U.S Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and Jacky Rosen (D-NV) announced that Nevada will receive $416,666,229.74 in federal funding to expand broadband access the state through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program.
The BEAD program is a $42.4 billion initiative designed to help close the digital divide by expanding access to high-speed internet in underserved and unserved areas.
Earlier this month, both senators also announced that Nevada received over $43.5 million in increase high-speed internet access throughout the state through the Middle Mile Infrastructure Grant Program, which is part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
