Nevada Unemployment Rate Unchanged In December 2023
According to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s DETR December 2023 report, the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in December 2023 was 5.4%, unchanged from prior month. The labor force in Nevada grew again by 6,300 people.
Las Vegas MSA’s December 2023 unemployment rate was 5.3%, slightly increase of 0.2% from November 2023. The number of unemployed individuals increased by 1,886 since November 2023 for a current level of 64,080 people, which is 680 less unemployed people than December 2022. The labor force in Las Vegas is currently 1,200,572 people, which is 11,190 less people than November 2023, and is up 45,002 people since December 2022.
