Nevada Unemployment Rate Unchanged in September
According to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s (DETR) September 2023 report, the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.4% in September, which was unchanged from August and decreased by 0.1 from 5.5 percent in 2022.
At the MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area) level, the state saw decreases in unemployment rate in all three of its MSAs (Carson City, Las Vegas-Paradise, and Reno-Sparks).
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Statistical Area’s (MSA)s unemployment rate was 5.7 percent in September 2023, decreasing from 6.1 percent in August 2023, and down from 5.8 percent in September 2022, non-seasonally adjusted.
At the county level, the state saw increases or no change in unemployment rate in all of its counties.
