According to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s October 2023 report, Nevada’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.4% in October 2023, which was unchanged from September 2023.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Statistical Area’s (MSA) unemployment rate was 5.4 percent in October 2023, decreasing from 5.7 percent in September 2023, and down from 5.9 percent in October 2022, non-seasonally adjusted. The number of unemployed individuals decreased by 3,236 since September 2023 to a current level of 65,052 people, which is 3,252 less unemployed people than October 2022.
The labor force in Las Vegas is currently 1,200,798 people, which is 2,869 less people than September 2023, and is up 37,616 people since October 2022.
