New ER Facility Breaks Ground at Henderson Hospital

The Henderson Hospital hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for its new emergency department, The ER at Cadence. It will feature six treatment rooms with an additional three rapid medical exam rooms, advanced imaging service such as computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, and X-ray, an on-site laboratory and a decontamination room with showers.

It will use the Cerner FirstNet electronic medical record system that is compatible with Henderson Hospital and other Valley Health System facilities, and will allow patients to access their private health information online. It will be staffed with emergency medicine physicians, nursing, imaging and laboratory staff, and will open in Summer 2024.

The groundbreaking of the ER at Cadence follows a $150 million project completed at Henderson Hospital in 2021 that included opening four new patient floors in a new tower, expanding the emergency department by 25 beds, adding 18 beds in the neonatal intensive care unit and four antepartum rooms in the Birthplace, and opening a 480-space parking garage. In 2022, Henderson Hospital added six labor-delivery-recovery suites and an additional surgical suite.
