Plaza Hotel & Casino Hires Sue Ascanio as General Manager

Plaza Hotel & Casino has hired Sue Ascanio as new General Manager. With over 30 years of experience in the gaming and hospitality industry, Ascanio most recently served as general manager at River Rock Casino in Sonoma County, California.

She started her career with Harrah’s Entertainment and then with Station Casinos. Over her 12-year tenure with Station Casinos, she served as director of operations, director of food and beverage, and vice president / general manager at three properties. She also served as an executive with Pinnacle Entertainment and Penn National Gaming in Indiana.

Ascanio holds a bachelor’s degree in hotel administration from University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
