The first two office buildings to finish construction at UnCommons, a mixed-use development at I-215 and Durango Drive in southwest Las Vegas, has been awarded Green Globes Certifications by the Green Building Initiative (GBI).
GBI recognizes sustainability goals for new construction projects, existing buildings and interiors to encourage improved environmental and health performance while reducing environmental impacts. Its mission includes decreasing carbon emissions, improving water efficiency as well as supporting the implementation of smart building and technology to drive these goals.
“These Green Globes are the first of many health and wellness certifications, including WELL Certification from the International Well Building InstituteTM, we are pursuing for UnCommons,” said Jim Stuart, Partner of Matter Real Estate Group.
The first building, totaling more than 100,000 square-feet, will be home to the Las Vegas office for DraftKings. The second building, totaling more than 75,000 square-feet, is the new home for the Las Vegas offices of Sotheby’s International Realty, CBRE, BDO and Morgan Stanley.
